This two-day workshop is perfect for the caregiver, the puppeteer, the teacher, and the storyteller. Participants will receive patterns and live directions to create a beautiful hand puppet that can be used as a joyful presence in the classroom, for storytelling, and as a tool to support social-emotional learning.
After gathering supplies themselves before class begins, participants will have Jennifer and Janene to help guide the puppet making process resulting in a simple hand puppet that can be used in many different settings. After creating our puppet, we will focus on creating a character, learn basic manipulation skills, and techniques for bringing the puppet to life.
Puppet making supply lists and directions will be sent upon registration to the participant. Materials must be gathered in advance before the date of the course.
Ready-To-Go puppetry kits can be purchased from Jennifer Aguirre in advance for an additional $55. Please contact Jennifer Aguirre directly at aacorngarden@gmail.com before August 30th to insure delivery of materials in time for the course.
